How to Place Deposit
If you are a Singaporean or Permanent Resident, you may place a Time Deposit via any of the methods below:
Online
Step 1: Apply Now
Click “Retrieve Myinfo with Singpass”. Please have your Singpass ID and password ready.
Step 2: Verify / complete your personal details and select the Time Deposit you wish to open. Follow the on-screen instruction to complete your Time Deposit placement.
Maybank2u SG app
For existing Maybank customers
Step 1: Download the Maybank2u SG app and login with your online banking username and password
Step 2: Tap on ‘More’ > ‘Apply’.
For new customers
Step 1: Download the Maybank2u SG app and tap on ‘More’ > ‘Apply’.
Step 2: Select the Time Deposit you wish to open, and apply via Singpass if you are a Singaporean or Permanent Resident.
You must have a Maybank Savings or Current Account and Maybank2u Online/Mobile Banking access to make the placement online.

Requirements
ELIGIBILITY:
- Age: 16 and above.
MINIMUM DEPOSIT:
- S$1,000 for tenures from 2 to 24 months
- S$10,000 for 1-month tenure and Odd Days Term Deposit-i with flexible tenure

- Proof of mailing address i.e. utilities bill or bank statement with residential address, where the name must be the same as your Passport and Employment Pass

- Premature withdrawal within 3 months from placement date - Upfront profit paid will be clawed back in full from principal amount.
- Premature withdrawal after 3 months from placement date – Upfront profit paid will be partially clawed back from principal amount. The profit due to customer is half of the pro-rated profit based on the number of days the Term Deposit is placed.
