eGIRO online application

GIRO stands for Electronic GIRO. It is a digital initiative that digitises the GIRO application process with an aim to significantly reduce the GIRO set-up turnaround time. This is a joint initiative by The Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS), Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and participating banks.

1. Paying Maybank Credit Card, Hire Purchase and Set up Inward Transfer

2. Paying Other Billing Organisation from your Maybank Account

There are two ways to setup eGiro online.

1. Apply via Maybank2u Online Banking or Maybank2u SG (Lite) app

• S$0 fee or charges for fund collection

Do ensure sufficient funds in your Debiting Account on the payment due date to avoid incurring any fees or charges.

Who can enjoy this service

Available for:

• Maybank Singapore customers with Mobile/Online banking access
• Maybank Current / Savings Accounts, Credit Card and/or Hire Purchase account holders

Important note

You may only link to debit from an Individual bank accounts.

Setup prior to payment due date:

• Card
  
  • Setup eGIRO 5 working days prior to payment due date
  • Choose to debit minimum or outstanding amount during setup
• Car Loan
  • Setup eGIRO 3 working days prior to payment due date

To ensure successful GIRO deductions, please take note of these optional fields:

• Transaction/ Payment Limit - if you wish to set a limit, do ensure the amount is sufficient to cover your payment.
• Expiry Date: If you wish to set an expiry date, do ensure that the end date is able to cover the entire duration of your payment.

Choose Maybank Singapore as your designated bank to make payment via eGIRO to participating Billing Organisations.

Set up eGIRO via your billing organisation website

• Access eGIRO registration page from the billing organisation website
• Select Maybank Singapore Limited and submit the application
• You will be redirected to Maybank online banking
• Login with your credential
• Select your Maybank debiting account and approve the request
• You will be redirected back to your billing organisation website to check the status of your application
