| Maybank reports 2QFY20 profit of RM1.26 billion before tax |
| Maybank Group announced on 27 August 2020 that its profit before tax for the second quarter ended 30 June 2020 stood at RM1.26 billion, as the Group booked in the impact from the movement restriction orders as well as the reductions in interest rates across most of its regional markets arising from the COVID-19 pandemic. | Changes to Credit Card Monthly Minimum Payment |
| As part of the COVID-19 Relief Package, from 8 July 2020 till 31 December 2020, the monthly minimum payment for Maybank Personal Credit Card and Fund Transfer accounts will be reduced from 3% to 1%* of outstanding balance or S$20, whichever is higher. | Maybank supports Tzu Chi's art project and mask donation |
In a collective effort to care for migrant workers during the COVID-19 period, Tzu Chi Foundation (Singapore) launched a new art project and a mask sewing project with the financial support of Maybank. Over 13,000 masks sewn by volunteers were donated to Migrant Workers' Centre in June. Tzu Chi has also invited 550 migrant workers to participate in "Stay Home Quilt" project, where they will receive a sewing kit to create pattern pieces for an art piece. For every piece of completed fabric artwork, Maybank will pledge a S$20 donation to Tzu Chi to support future programmes for migrant workers. |

Impersonation scams are on the rise and come in several variations such as someone purporting to be a government official or a bank employee. The scammer will often request for personal information.
Stay alert and do not provide your personal particulars and banking or online banking credentials to anyone, especially over unsolicited phone calls. Always verify any dubious calls, emails or text messages with official sources. More tips here. |
