Maybank 3QFY21 net profit at RM1.68b

Maybank Group announced on 25 November 2021 that its net operating income for the third quarter ended 30 September 2021 (3QFY21) increased slightly by 1.2% to RM6.15 billion on higher net fund based income of RM4.72 billion, which rose 14.3% year on year. However, profit before tax and net profit came in lower due to a reduction in net fee based income and higher net impairment losses, which more than offset the rise in net fund based income.
