Maybank Singapore is the First Bank to Link Credit Card with Property Access for Condo Residents

Singapore – In a first-of-its-kind collaboration here, Maybank Singapore has teamed up with the developers of Gem Residences – Gamuda Berhad, Evia Real Estate and Maxdin Pte Ltd – to implement a one-card access arrangement for residents, where they can use a Maybank Family & Friends Card to access the private condominium as well as pay for other lifestyle services available on the condominium’s concierge service mobile app.

Mr Alvin Lee, Head of Community Financial Services, Maybank Singapore, said, “One-card access brings unprecedented accessibility and the convenience of smart living to condominium residents. It is also a natural step forward in our efforts to be at the heart of the community, supporting and rewarding everyone’s lifestyle needs. We are certainly interested to work with more developers to roll out one-card access for their properties.” 

All the residents in the 578 units of Gem Residences may opt in to sign up for the Maybank Family & Friends Card, or add property access function to their existing Maybank Family and Friends Cards.

Mr Vincent Ong, Managing Partner of Evia Real Estate, said, “Gem Residences at Toa Payoh offers a club condominium concept where we aim to provide seamless services to our residents to access their condo facilities and home in a secure and convenient manner with a single card. This card can also be used to pay for food delivery, air-condition servicing and other convenience services via our property’s concierge app. We are happy to partner with Maybank and through this tie-up, residents will truly benefit from a fuss-free lifestyle and reap savings from the credit card cash rebates.” 

The resident’s household expenses and daily essentials such as groceries, data communication and dining charged to the Maybank Family & Friends Card will entitle the cardmember to earn 8% cash rebates. Residents may also enjoy attractive Renovation Loan packages and exclusive credit card deals offered by Maybank at selected learning and retail outlets. In addition, the Maybank Family & Friends Card comes with Mastercard PayPass contactless payment feature that can also be used to pay for MRT and bus rides.
