How to open a bank account online (for foreigners)

Download the Maybank2u SG app from official Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Step 1: Launch the app and tap ‘Log in now’ > ‘New to Maybank2u SG? Apply for an account or card now’.

Step 2: Under ‘Accounts’, browse and select the account that best fits your needs.

For Maybank Malaysia customers:

Step 3: Tap ‘Apply Now’ > ‘Apply via M2U Malaysia’

Step 4: You will be redirected to Maybank2u Malaysia, login with your username and password.

For FIN-holders*:

Step 3: Tap ‘Apply Now’ > ‘Retrieve Myinfo with singpass’

Follow on screen instructions & upload necessary documents and proceed to submit your application. Your application status will be emailed to you.

*FIN-holders refer to holders of Employment Pass, S-Pass, Long-term Social Visit Pass and Student Pass.

For Maybank Malaysia customers:

Step 1: Browse through various accounts here and click ‘Apply Now’ when you’re ready.

Step 2: Select ‘Apply via M2U Malaysia’ to begin the online application process.

Step 3: You will be redirected to Maybank2u Malaysia, login with your username and password.

Step 4: Follow on screen instructions & upload necessary documents to proceed and submit your application.

For FIN-Holders*:
