Activate magnetic stripe for overseas use

To use your Maybank Credit Card for overseas retail transactions, you can enable your magnetic stripe using the following methods.


MAYBANK2U SG APP
Download “Maybank2u SG” from
App Store or Google Play
Sign up using your Credit Card details, login, then navigate to your card details and select “Manage Overseas Card Usage”


ONLINE BANKING
Login to Maybank2u Online Banking then select “Settings”, “Cards” and “Manage Overseas Use of Magnetic Stripe”

Fees & Charges

  • Quarterly service fee of S$5 (Waived for first 2 years)
  • Subsequently, quarterly service fee is waived when you charge to your Card once every 3 months

    Singapore Citizen, Singapore Permanent Resident, Malaysian, Foreigner except US citizen (S$500 earmark in CASA)
     
  • Age
    18 to 30 years old
     
  • Annual Income Requirement
    Less than S$30,000
     
  • Approved Institutions
    LASALLE, NAFA, NIE, NP, NTU, NUS, NYP, RP, SIT, SMU, SP, SUSS, SUTD, TP & SIM
    • You must be an existing student or National Service Full-time (NSF) man who is accepted into one of the approved institutions
    • For Malaysians, you must be studying in NTU/NUS/SIT/SMU/SUSS/SUTD

 

Required Documents

1. Tertiary student

  • Copy of NRIC (front and back) AND
  • Copy of Student pass OR acceptance letter from the approved institution

2. NSF man

  • Copy of SAF/SPF/SCDF11B identification card (front and back) AND
  • Copy of acceptance letter from the approved institution you are going to study in

3. Foreigner

  • Copy of Passport

4. Applicant below 21 years old

  • Copy of Parent/Legal Guardian's NRIC¹ (front and back) AND
  • Copy of Legal Documentation of Guardianship (if applicable)
